DANCER
As a dancer.
Sonoko Kamimura started her Classical Ballet education at Reiko Matsuoka Ballet Studio in Japan. In 2007, she put herself into an education as a contemporary dancer and she received a Bachelor of professional Dance at Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy in the Netherlands. After her graduation she joined as a dancer at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Hato project by Heidi Vierthaler, Organ Works by Shintaro Hirahara and The Forsythe Company under the direction of William Forsythe. After the closing of the Forsythe company, she started her career as a freelance artist. she joined one of the successful Opera RINALDO directed by Ted Huffman and choreographed by Adam H Weinert. Started a collective"nulllos" with Kihako Narisawa and also joins Narisawa´s own upcoming productions as a collaborator. As a repertoire, she danced a choreography from William Forsythe, Jiri Kilyan, Ed Wubbe, Tom Stewart, Itzik Galili, Loic Perela and Heidi Vierthaler.
